How does moderation work on EQUALS?

We review content against our community guidelines, which you'll find in the app under Profile > Account > Safety > Rules. Messages that break them — hate speech, sexual solicitation, scam attempts — may be removed, and non-English messages in English-only chatrooms can be taken down too. Repeated breaches can lead to a suspension, and serious breaches to a permanent ban. Every report we receive is reviewed against the same guidelines. If you think a moderation decision was a mistake, submit a Moderation Decision Appeal Form and we'll look at it again. If your account was suspended as a result of a moderation decision, please submit a Suspension Appeal Form instead and we’ll investigate it.
